Herb and Syble came for the weekend with Megan ...

Eric and Andrew and his husky Nahnuk came too. They stopped in Orlando on their way and picked up Herb, Syble and Megan.

Gene's handyman skills are becoming recognized by others. Hence the t-shirt.

Molly continues to eat anything that she can. Gene is holding a likeness of Molly in the near future.

Food was a big item this weekend. We had Cuzncindy's famous spagetti sauce one night, filet mignon from our new grill, ham and fixins for Xmas and then a smoked turkey also done on the grill.

There always seems to be some pie in the face action when Eric and Andrew visit. This time it was Eric who left the room at the wrong time.

And again the next night. Eric didn't see quite so much humor in being caught twice but Cuzncindy did.

We had three dogs, one big one and two very much smaller and shorter. Molly thinks that she can eat anything she can reach. When she went to help Nahnuk with her food. Nahnuk discouraged her with a quick nip to the head and a twist of her neck.

After that lesson, Molly changed her strategy to be as unobtrusive as possible when ever Nahnuk was in sight. Here she tries to blend into the chair with Gene.

The little dogs spent as much time as they could huddled next to anyone who was sitting and could offer protection.

It was a pleasant lazy few days. A lot of eating, sitting on the patio in the warm sun or watching new DVDs on TV.

Oh, and there was some napping too.

Everyone left early Tuesday morning. Eric and Andrew were going back to work. Herb is going into the VA Hospital to get his legs worked on and Syble is going for a new knee. Except Megan. She is staying with us for a while. The short dogs are a lot more relaxed now that Nahnuk is somewhere else.
