The power is back on. So is
the A/C and the refrigerator. Life in paradise is back to normal ...
well it will be when we get everything back outside this weekend. |

We are OK. We had a few broken branches
on trees in the yard. Last night Alan, our neighbor was given a
generator and he is letting us run an extension cord to our place so we
have a few lights and a fan. FPL estimates we
will have power back on at '11:45 on September 10' according to FPL's
automated information service. There is power on the streets to the
north and south of us. But the transformer that serves our street needs
replacing and apparently there aren't enough people on our street to
make us important. So we have to wait until Friday |

Check out
Cuzncindy's email.
And look at some pix. As you
will see the weather wasn't too bad. But is was bad enough to blow down
some trees and knock out the power to a significant number of Broward
County residents, including us. :( |

We're OK, but then the storm hasn't
arrived yet. All of the outside stuff is inside, the shutters are up and
inside looks like a dungeon. It was sunny before but it's clouding over
now. So far we have had only a couple of rain showers but nothing of
consequence. Wind speed is 17 mph. |
